Updating JTAG: Use original NAND, or use a 'current' NAND rip?:

So my JTAG (which has been pretty faithful for a long time now) has been having trouble booting certain games. It's only certain games, and it consistently happens in the same place (almost always after an FMV or loading screen before control is handed over), while the majority of my games are fine. I've tried different rips of the games, extracted ISO's, GOD, internal, external, etc etc, it's always the same.
