Need some assistance

I bought an RGH a long while back, read through all of the topics here for help, downloaded things people have told me Id need, tried and tried again and again but I cant quite figure out how to set this thing up. Its been just sitting here uselessly. I figure its about time I went this route -

I could use a hand setting up a brand new rgh from the top. Ill only be using it for basically 2 or 3 purposes which I can explain to whomever is interested in helping. It doesnt seem like it should...
