Suddenly Having xK3y Troubles D: (status: unsolved)

I've had my xK3y for a little less than a year and it's always worked just fine. Twenty minutes ago, it has started acting up.

I booted up my console via the controller and have encountered an E64 error (DVD drive). I've encountered this before and typically all I need to do to fix that is to take the Microsoft HDD out, boot up, put it back in, and that's it--the error is gone. Today, this was not the case.
