xhttp can someone explain to me

xhttp has to be disables to get online on games such as GTA and a few others, the description for it is "14699+ has native http functions, but you are forced to be logged into use them
; this patch removes that restriction, set to false to disable it if you have any problems"

but what does this actually mean and what are the "native functions"

also after playing online on GTA having it disabled am i better off re-enabling it before i go online on any other game like MW3?
