Can't get IP to display in Aurora or FSD.

I'm trying to FTP my xbox to a basic HP netbook. The LAN seems to be working fine after I updated the ethernet software. Problem is I can't get an IP to display on any dash. Aurora, FSD, or within the xexmenu.

In xexmenu it shows 0.0.0.0

I currently have filezilla on my computer ready to go, but need to get my xbox to display an IP!
